Jalen McGill
Jalen McGill is a Rochester native with a strong background in sports journalism and broadcasting. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from SUNY Brockport and is currently pursuing a master’s in Strategic Leadership at Roberts Wesleyan. Jalen is the Sports Director at WLGZ The Beat 105.5, where he co-hosts the Real Deal Sports Show. He also writes for the Buffalo Criterion as a sports columnist covering the Buffalo Bills.
Throughout his career, Jalen has covered major events like the Super Bowl’s Radio Row in Atlanta and Phoenix, interviewing athletes, entertainers, and business leaders. His proudest achievement is founding Zeal Talk Upstate—a faith-based sports media outlet focused on uplifting and inspiring through faith-driven content

Parliamentarian
Theresa Marsenburg
Theresa is an award-winning storyteller with a passion for powerful, meaningful journalism. She’s a two-time NABJ Salute to Excellence Award winner for her documentaries Florida’s Underground Railroad and When Babies Die. She also received a 2018 Telly Award for a film on Alzheimer’s Disease and a 2021 Suncoast Regional Emmy for co-producing a documentary on the history of enslaved people in North Florida.
Originally from Ohio, Theresa earned her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from St. John's University in New York. She has worked in newsrooms across Atlanta, Dayton, Parkersburg, and Tallahassee.
Outside of work, she finds joy in her two children, spending time with loved ones, worshipping with her church community, and enjoying books, music, and shopping.

Treasure (Finance Director)
Monwell P. Floyd
Monwell P. Floyd, CEO/President of ImagePrinter M&P, Inc., is dedicated to serving the Rochester community. For nearly 35 years he has provided his support and voice through printed media. As a University of Buffalo graduate he has provided input to support the growth and stabilization, which he considers family, to RABJ since starting Upstate NY Gospel Magazine a decade ago. He has received , as CEO of ImagePrinter, numerous awards and recognition personally and through his business. Monwell has served on local organizations and committees including Board member for TNT Rochester, The National Black Bowlers Association (TNBA), Lewis Street Center and Visitors Industry Council of Rochester (VIC).

George "Radman" Radney
George “Radman” Radney is the Sports Editor for Challenger Community News, Western New York’s largest weekly African-American newspaper. With over 25 years of experience, he’s covered the NFL and Buffalo Bills as a beat writer, including 15 Super Bowls. He co-hosts the Real Deal Sports Show, offering inside access and expert commentary on sports at every level.
George also serves as Senior VP of Media Relations for Blue Light Communications, helping build strong partnerships with local and national advertisers across stations like The Beat 105.5 FM and La Mega 97.5 FM.
He’s a proud husband to Delores Jackson-Radney and father to three sons—Julian, Omar, and Michael.

VP of Social Media & Marketing
Sergio Cruel
Sergio Cruel is a reporter with Spectrum News and a proud Philadelphia native. With eight years of on-air experience in major markets, he’s passionate about using journalism to connect with and uplift the community.
Sergio got his start in 2015 with Chasing News on Fox 5 NY, where he made a name for himself as a creative and self-driven multimedia journalist. He later joined Fox 29 in Philadelphia, focusing on stories about gun violence, missing persons, and community impact.
One of Sergio’s most meaningful moments was helping a woman find her missing husband through a story that reached over two million people on Facebook.
Now based in Rochester, he’s committed to telling the stories that matter most. When he’s not reporting, Sergio enjoys working out, FaceTiming his siblings, learning new things, and exploring the city.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

PRESIDENT
Job Description - The President shall be the chief administrative officer of the association. The president shall preside at the general meetings of the Association, as well as meetings of the Board of Directors.
The president shall chair the Executive Committee and have the authority to appoint the chair of all Board committees with the approval of the Executive Committee. The President may create and dissolve Association committees and appoint chairs of the committees as needed to carry out the mission of the association with the approval of the Executive Committee. The President shall be informed of all Board and Association Committee activities by the committee chairs. The President shall perform other duties as directed by the Board.

VP OF BROADCAST
Job Description - The Vice-President for Broadcast shall oversee communication with Association membership, plan RABJ special events and awards given out. He/she shall serve as a conduit through which communications related information and resources are shared between the Board, committees, and the membership. He/she shall also undertake other duties assigned by the President.

PARLIAMENTARIAN
Job Description - The Secretary shall keep a roll of the membership of the Association, and shall notify members of the monthly meeting, and any special business meetings of the general membership that may be called. The Secretary shall keep a record of the proceedings of all business meetings of the Board of Directors and the general membership. He/she shall also undertake other duties as assigned by the President.

TREASURE (Finance Director
Job Description - The Finance Director shall oversee the maintenance of the financial records of the Association. The Finance Director shall participate in the development of the Association’s budget, and all fundraising, following all guidelines set forth in those budgets. The Finance Director shall maintain all bank accounts, sign checks, apply for grants, and advise the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the financial standing of the Association. The Finance Director shall be responsible for arranging an annual audit of the books for the national office and the filing of all appropriate tax forms. He/she shall also undertake other duties as assigned by the President

Job Description - The Vice-President for Print shall oversee Association activities related to RABJ social events, the RABJ newsletter, press releases, community relations, and networking. He/she shall serve as a conduit through which the public information and resources are shared between the Board, committees, and the membership. He/she shall also undertake other duties as assigned by the President.
